Table Blessings Meals Ministry

A new initiative of Women’s Ministry

Have you ever had a good friend bring a meal to your family after you had a baby or you experienced the death of a family member? It’s a blessing!

At First Christian Church Edmond, we believe in the power of a shared meal to offer comfort, care, and community. That's why our Women’s Ministry is launching Table Blessings, a new meals ministry offering a meal for individuals experiencing these significant life events:

  • The birth or adoption of a child

  • The death of an immediate family member

  • A medical crisis (e.g., surgery, hospitalization, or medical event that temporarily disrupts daily life)

There are three ways YOU can be part of the Table Blessings project:
1. COOK With Us - Meet a group of women at the church to batch-cook and freeze casseroles for future deliveries. We’ll have the ingredients and supplies ready; you’ll help cook, package, and clean.
2. DELIVER Meals

  • Sign up for a two-week period where you'll be on-call for deliveries

  • If meals are needed during the two-weeks you select, you will receive a call from our Meal Coordinator, then you’ll arrange the best day/time with the recipient(s).

  • You'll pick up a prepared casserole & bread from the church freezer,

  • Add a simple store-bought salad and dessert (cookies or brownies), and

  • Deliver the complete meal to the recipient's home

3. DONATE Funds for meal ingredients and supplies (foil pans, labels, bread, etc.)

Follow the links below to join the Table Blessings Project.  Can't commit regularly? No problem! Even helping once will bless a table!
