Since 1963, First Christian Church of Edmond has been dedicated to providing an early learning environment that encourages the spiritual, physical, social-emotional, and intellectual development of each child at his or her own pace, following state and national standards of child care. We have the distinction of being the first licensed child care facility in Oklahoma.

We offer care Monday through Friday from 6:45am to 6:00pm for children 6 weeks of age through the completion of fifth grade. We offer transportation to area public and private schools at no additional charge, and house an Edmond Public Schools Pre-K classroom.

Parents can be assured the First Christian Church Child Care Center has met standards exceeding the minimum necessary for licensing, staff members have benefited from professional development, and children have an environment conducive to their individual growth and development.

About Our Teachers

We believe that educated, knowledgeable teachers are a benefit to the care and nurturing of children. We feel fortunate that our teachers come from diverse educational backgrounds.  Some have four-year degrees in child development and education, others have field-specific early childhood Certificates of Mastery or Child Development Associate credentials, and all are required to hold current pediatric First Aid/CPR certification and obtain a minimum of 20 classroom hours of continuing education training per year. Each employee goes through significant training in addition to background and reference checks.
