2025 Pastors’ Class Begins in February – Parents Meeting January 19

Fifth grade is a significant year of growth and discovery, and at First Christian Church of Edmond, we offer students a unique opportunity to explore and build the foundation of their faith through our Pastors’ Class. This 7-week course invites students—typically 5th graders, though 6th graders who haven’t yet participated are also welcome—to begin shaping a faith that is spacious, inviting, and open to curiosity and growth.

Designed to help families navigate the developmental transition to adolescence, Pastors’ Class supports students as they explore core elements of faith such as scripture, the church, communion, and baptism. Rather than focusing on rigid dogma or prescriptive beliefs, we embrace questions and foster an environment where students can wonder, wrestle, and grow in their understanding of what it means to follow the ways of Jesus.

Each student is paired with both a youth mentor and an elder mentor who provide encouragement and guidance throughout their journey. Pastors’ Class begins with an engaging group retreat, followed by six Sunday morning sessions taught by our ordained staff.

To help parents feel equipped and informed, we are hosting a Parent Information Meeting on Sunday, January 19, at 12:15 PM in Fellowship Hall. This is the perfect opportunity to learn more about the program, ask questions, and register your child for this meaningful experience.

If you’re ready to help your child take this next step in their faith journey, or if you have questions, please contact Jennifer Humphrey.

Let’s partner together in nurturing a faith that inspires curiosity, encourages growth, and reflects the boundless love of Jesus.
