Faith Through the Arts

Wednesday Evenings at UNITE - January 22 - April 30

Our faith is guided by scripture.  How we see Jesus, how we are to act, what we know about God is all a reflection of how scripture informs us.  However, we are also guided by elements of our culture—art, literature, film.  This semester we will look at our faith and many foundational stories from scripture through the fine arts.  There are several great pieces of art, several books and some great movies that not only teach us about our faith, but inspire us.  This will lead us to some great discussion on how we see Jesus, what we think about God and God’s power in our world and what we are to do as Christians in this modern world.
