Fall is here, football is in full swing, and even though the OU/OSU football rivalry may be taking a break, the competition is still alive and well at First Christian Church Edmond! We’re kicking off our 1st ever Bedlam Food Drive this October, and it’s your chance to show team spirit and make a difference!

Are you Team Crimson or Team Orange? It’s time to represent your school and help stock the shelves of our Ida Freeman Weekend Food Program with much-needed items for hungry students.

Here’s How It Works:

  • Every Sunday in October—October 6, 13, 20, 27—bring your food donations and drop them in either the OU or OSU bin in the lobby.

  • The rivalry kicks off on Homecoming Sunday, October 6 —so make sure to put on your game face and donations as we show up to help Ida Freeman Elementary students THRIVE!

  • We’ll give a half-time report after the second Sunday so you can see which team is in the lead!

  • The final score will be announced on November 3, after our Family Fun Fest on October 27.

  • Feeling extra competitive? You can also donate money at fccedmond.org/give (every dollar = 1 item for your team, just be sure to designate Ida Freeman Offering - Team Crimson OR Team Orange when you donate.) We’ll use the funds to shop for the items we need to fill in the gaps for the weekend meal kits we pack and deliver.

Here’s The Wish List:

  • Canned chicken

  • Breakfast bars

  • Fruit cups

  • Cans of corn, green beans, or mixed veggies

  • Boxes of spaghetti noodles

  • Canned black beans

  • Kraft mac and cheese

  • Peanut butter

  • Uncle Ben’s ready rice pouches (chicken or Spanish rice)

Whether you’re backing OU or OSU, we’re all winners when we come together to feed hungry kids. Let’s keep the Bedlam spirit alive this October by filling those bins—and stomachs!
